Additional Information on our Shed Build

Hello to everyone interested in the Shed Build for wildfire victims in Santiam Canyon,

We set up a Facebook page where everyone can share photos and updates about the builds! Please feel free to post on any photos or updates you have! FB Shed Build or search for @ShedBuildSantiamCanyon2021

Keep checking for up-to-date information.

If you aren't able to volunteer, PLEASE spread the word so that we can get more help.

To those joining us on Saturday, April 17th, May 1st or May 15th, to volunteer, we have some updates:

Register HERE if you have not done so already.

Meet at 22057 Emma St SE Lyons, OR.

8am start time, but if you cannot arrive at that time, show up when you are able. If no one is at the Community Center, call or text Juli to find out where we are at. 503-508-1127. We might be out on site putting these sheds together.

Please park in the large grass field adjacent to the Community Center’s parking lot, and try to park as tightly as you can, leaving a path for vehicles to enter and exit.

Sign in at the pop-up tent. We have a waiver that needs to be filled out and signed before you can volunteer. Waiver is below if you prefer to print, fill out, and bring with you. Anyone under the age of 18 will need the form signed by their parent/guardian.

Coffee/pastries will be available in the morning.

*We are still looking for a lunch donation for our April 17th, May 1st and May 15th shed builds. *

Dress warmly, in lots of layers, and prepare for rain, though hopefully this lovely sunshine sticks around. Boots/sturdy shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Bring gloves, safety glasses, and earplugs.

If you have tools, bring them! (make sure they have your name on them to avoid confusion)

If you don’t have tools, that’s fine too.

***COVID Restrictions will be followed. Please bring and wear a mask.***

If you have a group of volunteers coming from your company/organization or your company has donated funds to these sheds, feel free to bring a banner to zip tie to the fence for the day to represent what they have done and for photo ops. You will need to remove the banners at the end of each build day.

We look forward to seeing everyone out there! Please spread the word, as we have a large goal to complete 250 sheds. Our next Build Dates in June will be Friday June 11th and Saturday June 12th,  so mark your calendars!

We are also gathering donations together, so thank you to everyone who has stepped up so far!

Whatever you can contribute would be great, as every dollar helps!
