I am interested in becoming a member, what should I do?
Visit the Contact Us page, and send us an email. Somebody will contact you shortly to provide you additional information about Salem NAWIC and to answer any questions you might have. You can also click on the National NAWIC link on the home page or visit www.nawic.org to download a membership form. Click here to apply online.
How do I find out about upcoming meetings?
Visit our home page or Events page to find out about upcoming meetings. Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30, and are usually located at the Salem Contractors Exchange, 2256 Judson Street SE, Salem, OR 97302. However, in the summer our monthly meetings frequently include a number of tours at local construction project sites, and thus the time and location may vary.
I am a student that is not currently employed in the construction industry, but I am interested in becoming involved with NAWIC. Are there any opportunities to do so?
Of course! Our members are always open to speaking with those interested in the construction industry, and provide great mentors! Also, students are welcome to attend our monthly meetings or other events. Additionally, our chapter offers annual scholarships to students with a focus in a construction related field like construction management, architecture, design, etc. Please visit our Resources page for more information, and to download a scholarship application.
I am hesitant to join. What benefits can the Salem NAWIC Chapter offer me?
In addition to the networking opportunities, career development, opportunities to earn continuing education credit, and community outreach provided by the Salem NAWIC Chapter, the members include a great group of women! You will find unmatched support for women in construction, sharing upon our varied backgrounds and experiences to help each other in any way possible. We welcome you to come to a meeting and experience this support for yourself.
