Our speaker, and NAWIC Member, Oregon House of Representative Member, House District 25, will be providing the group with a Legislative Update on the Construction Industry.
Kim Thatcher is the owner of two small companies that work in the road construction industry.
As a small business owner Kim knows first-hand how it can often be difficult to deal with state government. She spearheaded new laws to give businesses a say in the rulemaking process, and provide more information about whether tax incentives for economic development are actually producing the jobs originally promised. Government shouldn’t be the one to create jobs and Kim will continue to fight for policies that improve the atmosphere so private sector can put more Oregonians back to work.
